The Vikings are the only complete Motown Group from Detroit still in existence. The Viking's Voyage began in 1969 while the trio was in high school. The original members of the group are Eric MC Clinton, Phillip Taylor, Clifford Moore. Popcorn Wylie was the group's producer or owner of the label that the Vibrations recorded on. Vibrations was a No. 1 hit record in Detroit and sold over 1,000,000 copies. Their first gold record "Vibrations" was released the summer of 1970. The group was actually too young to be in the night clubs where they performed but they worked consistently around the Ohio, Michigan, Illinois tri state area and far east coast venues. The Vikings recorded for Motown and have been releasing independent music since then.

The "Live in Detroit" The VIKINGS reunion concert live recording, 30 year anniversary CD/DVD. The group performed in Detroit May 2000 and at the Motown Museum on Detroit's west side. The act is pure old school soul with heavy influences of Mr. Marvin Gaye, and Edwin Starr, who lived near the group in Detroit in the 70's. Gaye Starr would often catch the group's performances at local Detroit clubs such as Henry's Palace, the Twenty Grand, MR. KELLY'S etc. This disc contains 4 classic Viking songs this live CD is IN MEMORY OF THE LATE GREAT MARVIN GAYE also available on DVD proceeds will benefit the Detroit Inner City Sub Center organization.

The CD "Live in Detroit" honors Detroit vocal groups such as Eric & the Vikings, Temptations, Four Tops, Contours, Spinners, Dramatics, Enchantment, The Floaters, The Detroit Emeralds, The Volumes, The Four Pros, The Fabulous Apollo's, The Peps, The Fantastic Four, The Precisions and The Elgins.

"Motown Reloaded" is a collection of songs, a Viking Audio bio. Each cut tells a story, of love lost, love found, joy and pain love's a wonderful thing. The song list entails pop, rock, blues, gospel, and even country tunes. The Vikings have indeed reloaded.
